Cookies

These are small pieces of data that let the site work properly. Without them, you couldn't stay signed in or safely submit a form.

• Keeping your session going. So Bloom remembers you as you move from page to page, keeps you signed in for about two hours of inactivity, and remembers whether a parent or child profile is unlocked after the PIN check. This is one session cookie — not a separate "remember me" cookie.
• Keeping forms safe. A security check that protects sign-up, sign-in, contact, and account forms from being tampered with.

None of this is used to track you around the web. It just lets the site function.

A few things on Bloom are run by outside companies, and they may set their own cookies when you use them:

• Chat support. On the parents page, contact page, legal pages, and parent dashboard, we load our chat widget (Tawk.to) so you can open "Ask a question." We do not load it on kids pages.
• Payments. When you subscribe or manage billing, you're briefly handed off to Stripe's secure checkout or billing portal, which sets its own cookies on Stripe's site — not on ours.
• Fonts. Bloom loads fonts from Bunny Fonts. Arabic pages also load Tajawal from Google Fonts. Those providers may set their own cookies.
• Videos in articles. If an article embeds YouTube or Vimeo, those sites may set their own cookies when the video loads.

These providers have their own privacy practices, which you can find on their sites.
